Sr. Hardware Engineer

Essential Functions:

The job function is responsibility to define and develop advanced digital photo system hardware, including system boards, system power management, I/O interfaces, intra-system interconnects, analog circuits, glue logic, some programmed part coding, EMI, manufacturability & testability. Interface with vendors and other design teams within and outside of department.  Investigate and define the system hardware specifications. Solve hardware issues in engineering development as well as in manufacturing. Demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills. Good written communication skill is a plus.

Preferred Knowledge:

Knowledge of microprocessor-based system hardware design. Familiar with high speed board design process. Knowledge of chip and system level packaging. Understanding of signal integrity and power distribution analysis.

Required Knowledge:

Knowledge of computer architecture, signal integrity, power distribution and multi-layer PCB technology. Strong high speed printed circuit board design skills. Analog, digital and power distribution design. EMC/EMI knowledge & trouble shooting. DFT/DFM. Design validation test (DVT) measurement. Ability to bringup and debug boards and systems in the lab. Good understanding of system mechanical and thermal design. Familiar with interconnect technology. Ability to formulate system development test plans. Demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills.
